Kathmandu, 21st May, 2016: Sri M was invited as guest of honour for a ceremony to dedicate 120 earthquake proof homes for those affected by the massive quake and aftershocks in Nepal in April and May, 2015. The World Peace Centre (Alandi), MAEER’s MIT, Pune, constructed the homes for poor families affected by the devastating earthquake at Tarakeshwar, Kathmandu.
Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder-President of the World Peace Centre presided over the function Speaking on the occasion, former Foreign Minister of Nepal, Sri Upendra Yadav said, “The people of Nepal will remember the deed of constructing houses for the affected citizens of the country.
Basically India & Nepal are one. They tend to share both happiness and worries. Their culture and traditions are also similar. The help given by Prof. Karad through the World Peace Centre will certainly promote brotherhood between them. In fact, humanity has no boundaries”.
Sri M said,“Gautam Buddha from Nepal has given the message of humanity to the whole world. Nepal is our Guru because he took birth in Nepal…The cooperation between India and Nepal will give the message of happiness and satisfaction to all people.”
