Commodore Ravindranath did a wonderful job of thanking everyone. It was then time to hand over the whistle to Team Jammu & Kashmir, the last State. It was a bitter sweet moment for all the padayatris, having completed 10 States in the last 14 months and now having to enter the last one and also fast approaching the culmination phase of the Walk. The Walk ended at Gurudwara Barth Sahib, also known as Gurdwara Tap Asthan Baba Sri Chand Ji as Guru Nanak Dev's elder son had spent years in meditation here. Baba Sri Chand Ji was born in 1494 to Mata Sulakhni Ji at Sultanpur Lodhi in Kapurthala. Guru Nanak's sister Bibi Nanaki adopted Sri Chand Ji as her own son. Guru Nanak's mother Mata Tripta Ji belonged to Baarth. So, after the demise of his father, Baba Sri Chand came to this Village. Baba Ji on seeing this secluded place started meditating and lived at this place for a considerable period of time. This place is also revered for the visits of the fifth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Arjun Dev and the sixth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Hargobind Singh. After having darshan at the Gurudwara and taking langar, the walkers were transported back to Amritsar. With Sri M taking a break from the Walk to meet the Pope at Vatican, the padayatris will have some time to introspect and prioritize a few things in their lives after the Walk.
