The walk started by cutting a cake brought by a padayatri who had timed her short visit around her birthday on the last day of the year. Walking through heavy traffic was made easy with the help of local police who ensured that traffic was navigated safely away from the walkers.

After a short tea break, the walk resumed. On the way, Sri M was interviewed by local media. Without too many breaks, the walk reached the Dargah of Rangile Chabile Baba where a few Hindu women were seen offering prayers. This is just one of the many instances of Manav Ekta that are witnessed every day on the walk. A sign of reassurance and hope for sure. As curtains slowly came down on a event-filled and unforgettable year, the padayatris were left to reminisce about the high points of the year gone by, for each one of them. The Ganga Arati at 'sangam', probably the last of its kind during the yatra, set the mood for a climactic end. But for the dry river bank where the Arati was held, it was one of the best Aratis the Yatris had attended. The giant, leaping flames of the lamps swayed, merging with the incessant stream of head lamps of vehicles coming over the Lal Bahadur Shasti Bridge, which was in the background! Some were worried whether there could be another year like the one gone by, some in angst whether they would get to meet Sir as he gets busier and busier... Some tried to remember the early days of the yatra, with difficulty as days and events seemed packed like sardines! Some, looked ahead with great optimism, hoping to complete the yatra without a break. Some looked further ahead, trying to do their bit for Manav Ekta, after the walk, with Sri M's guidance.
