He asked them whether they walked regularly at all and told them that it was important to walk. He fondly remembered an old Hindi song 'Nanne munne bache...'. He reminded the children that the future of India was with them and that they could make India greater. The important thing was to always remember that all Indians, nay humans, were 'one' – whether one was Amar, Akbar or Antony and to stick together despite obvious differences in caste, creed, colour, religion etc. He said he wanted to plant the seeds of Manav Ekta within each of the children so that they would, one day, with proper nurture, grow into impressive trees under the shades of which all Indians could live together. The children enthusiastically responded to his simple words of advice. A few meters into the walk, the yatris crossed the huge awning – the 'Saraswati Dwar' welcoming all to the 'Sangam Nagari'. After several receptions on the way, the yatris arrived at the Lal Bahadur Shastri Bridge spanning a length of 2200 meters. Ushered and cheered on by school children, the yatris crossed the bridge in a little more than half an hour. All took in a bird's eye view of the almost dry river bed, where preparations were afoot for the yearly 'kumbh' coming up in January. Thus, the yatris are getting the privilege of visiting the oldest city and the second oldest city of India, one after the other! (Varanasi and Prayag)
