Anand, also known as Charotar, is known as the Milk Capital of India. It became famous for Amul Dairy and it’s milk revolution. Amul spurred India's White Revolution, which made it the country the world's largest producer of milk and milk products. Along the way, Sri M was greeted and joined by a few groups of people. A group of Brahmakumaris was waiting to greet him at their first stop. They welcomed and garlanded Sri M and also tied ‘Rakhis’ to each and every padayatri. The padayatra was also joined by a group of about 20 cadets from the NCC who walked with them for some time. Those who have been travelling for a very long time now, for three months or more, have become very hardy and are able to face all kinds of living conditions. However, there are some critical things without which the life of a padayatri becomes quite difficult, and one of them is the all-pervasive Internet. Network services continue to be unavailable in these areas. Many of them depend on Internet not only to stay connected to their friends and family but also for day-to-day chores, such as banking. Even more important is the Whatsapp broadcast managed on a day-to-day basis by the coordinators on the ground. These broadcasts give their routines a little bit of structure. The regular walkers are so used to them that in their absence, they feel a little bit unsettled. Messages have to be passed the old-fashioned way - going from room to room and shouting the message out loud ! Today too, there was no Satsang and the walkers relaxed for the day.
