Walk of Hope left Ralegan Siddhi in the wee hours of the morning for their destination, Parner. Passing through very small villages with handfuls of families, their resting point is a little larger, with many village roads intersect at this place.

Because of the influence of Anna Hazare and the work he has led, these areas are green despite the drought - it has not rained here for the last four years. The early mornings are calm and cool and walking through the tree lined narrow village roads was an uplifting experience. Life here seems good, with apparent contentment in the air. The padayatris came across many school children going to school in the morning. The walkers covered 17 kms today and with their entry into Ralegan Siddhi, they had entered the sixth of the seven districts in Maharashtra, Ahmednagar. After three days of unending activity today was a rather relaxed day; the day unfolded lazily and the padayatris had a relaxed day with the walk not proving to be a challenge. Reaching Parner at 11 a.m., they walked on for two more kilometres and crossed the borders of Parner. Coming back to the Kala Mandir Ashram they rested for the day after lunch. There was no satsang in the evening. However, there was an organized tour of the village, as Parner, despite being small, is a place of importance. Parner was named after Rishi Parashar, whose son Maharishi Ved Vyas wrote the famous epic "Mahabharat". Parner is also known as a replica of Kashi (Parner) because there are 12 temples of Lord Shiva. Additionally, there are some beautiful temples to Shri Ram, Goddess Malganga, Kaalbhairavnath and Lord Hanuman.
